You know those transformer toys kids used to have aplenty? Those ones that were sleek and snazy-looking cars or trucks but could transform at a moment's notice into some ugly-looking warriors. There were even movies from which these toys got their popularity, and these 'toys' would fight each other or even try to "save the world". Then they could switch back to looking all cute and innocent and the owners would smirk and grin in triumph.
Well, when our Heavenly Father does His work of transforming His sons and daughers through the Holy Spirit's work, we change from ugly to beautiful - the beauty of Christ in us. What's more, its a continual on-going process of,
"...being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV).
The more we become transformed to be like Him, the better our "aroma of Christ" that we whirl along in our path's wake. It just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter as the days go by.
Let's all keep up being willingly obedient to the Holy Spirit's convictings in our lives, taking our every thought captive to His will, to our Heavenly Potter who is molding and shaping us to be ever more like Him. Let us be true followers of Jesus Christ.
He's not finished His transforming work until we go to be with Him. Let us run this course with patience, persistance and persevernce until He comes. Brothers and sisters-in-Christ, let's let our aroma be continually transformed so we can spread the beauty of Christ whenever and wherever we go.
