Prayer For Perishing Loved Ones

Abba Father, as You know, the moment we are born we begin to perish.  That's a part of life - a given, for each and every one of us, since the Fall, until now.

Rescue the perishing.  Thank-You for sending Your Rescuer - Jesus, and because You loved us, You didn't want anyone to perish but all to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, to believe in Him, so they would

"not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16; Luke 10:21-22; 1 Timothy 2:4).

The saddening part is though, that Your enemy Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers, even our loved ones, who seem to not be bothered by this state of blindness.

Father, remove this veil that the 'god of this age' has wrapped tightly around the unbelievers in our families and extended families.  May the

"light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, Who is the image" (v 4)

of Yourself, shine so brightly, like bright Spring sun melting snow and icicles, upon the minds and hearts of (name your loved ones), now be able to see You, to see Your goodness and righteousness, to see their sin and sinful nature and realize they need redemption through Jesus Christ.  Let it be an epiphany, a great pivotal moment of understanding, repentance, confession and acceptance of Your wonderful gift of salvation.

Rent those veils of ignorance like You rent that Temple Veil from top to bottom, allowing the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be accessed unabaited and unrestrictied; to flood the Light of Jesus upon them (Matthew 27:51).

I pray and beseech You, Abba Father, on behalf of our unsaved relatives, in Jesus' most precious name.  May we not lose heart in our prayers for them.  Amen.
