This is an endearing children's book of unusual caliber. This is because it mentions a boy who is taller than the rest of his family who appear to be Dwarfs, which he feels is not the 'norm'. These so-called "imperfections", as the title announces, were something to come to terms with as he lived out his day-to-day life at home, school and elsewhere.
Therefore, I feel this would be an excellent book for parents and families to read and discuss, learning how to overcome what society may term "not normal", and/or how to treat all 'different' people with respect and acceptance, especially those deemed "imperfect".
Lovely blue hues accentuated the illustrations throughout this entertaining and educational "lesson". I believe astute children will get the message and be helped.
