Haiku - He Keeps Me

 

This is a Haiku of sorts based on a picture my friend took of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada.  The silhouettes of eventide whisper.

The stillness of wa-

-ning day, sky still tinged; silho-

-uettes outline boat house.

Outline fishing boats,

Ocean lapping at their keels.

Gentle ripples perk.

Hearts stilled, calmed, spot gull,

roosting above.  Breathe in God's

compassion and love.

All is quiet, con-

template. Peace goes to the heart.

Tranquility.  God.

Jesus, Lord, Thank-You!

In my mind and soul, peace too.

Breath of God, keeps me.
