A tender and heartbreaking story for both Cody Gunner and Ali Daniels, each fighting their own respective battles: one with hate and bulls, and the other, a lifetime of cystic fibrosis. I especially loved how Ali managed, with determination and resilience, to live and do life despite her serious condition. Very positive vibes! I also liked that this is a Christian faith-based narrative even though as a light 'dusting,' but it makes the story a clean read and I strongly appreciate this element in books I chance to read, this one included.
This is the first book in the author's new series of Cody Gunner. I believe Karen Kingsbury fans will not be disappointed with yet another 'creation' of this prolific writer. There are Reading Group Guide questions available at story's end for those who wish to delve deeper into the issues imbeded in this tale.
