The CAT - Scanner (TT)

Ever feel like you've been CAT-scanned (CT Scan) by someones' eyes?  They look you over from head to toe, and toe to head and maybe more than once.  The eyes seem to bore right through your skin, and into your brain as if checking the wit level, as well as the general appearance vibe.  Do they want to acccept you into their circle or will they dismiss you as being nothing much for them to take notice of?

They judge you for how you 'appear'.  It can be very disconcerting, to say the least.  And the CAT-Scanner may verbalize their contempt, with a judgemental, "Huh!" making you feel smaller and worse than a dust mite.  Vocalizing judgements upon someone is so very hurtful, whether directly expressed, or on the gossip line; either way, damage is done.

If we know how it feels to be on the receiving end of such criticisms, let's remember to withhold being guilty of so doing ourselves, upon others.  Once again, what we think about or harbor in our hearts, will often spew from our mouths (see Matthew 12:34).

Ask the Lord's help to rein in and tame our tongues.  May we  speak good and pleasant, encouraging words of blessing instead.

The Bible does instruct on how to go about confronting someone who may not be walking in the way of the Lord.  We can follow the instructions and do so in a loving and caring manner as we get guidance and wisdom from the Lord to so do.

Lord Jesus, I'm often guilty of judgemental thoughts.  I even open my mouth and vocalize them.  I'm sorry, Lord.  Fill my mouth with words of love.  Help me to love others the way You do and to do to them as I'd have them do to me.  Powerfully rein in and tame my tongue through Your Holy Spirit's intervention and empowerment.  I ask in Your name Lord Jesus.  Amen.
