If a reader wants some light reading, this historical novel set in post US Civil War times, is for you. Although, I use the term 'light' reading, there are some deeper themes. One is about forgiveness. Another is about coming to salvation through Christ. There is humor. There is sadness and there is romance. You wonder if Clay and Magnolia (Maggie, for short), will ever relinquish their differences! I especially like this book because it's a good, clean read and faith in Jesus-based.
