With a title such as M is for Mason Jars, one might expect an interesting history of how mason jars came to be and what they have been and are used for. However, this is really a book about the English Language's alphabet from A-Z. It is not a toddler's book per se, but for young readers to learn about homesteading life in general. A history book of sorts.
I really liked this aspect of this educational book. I feel that, combined with the cute and colorful illustrations, children will find it interesting, entertaining and informative of life from years gone by. It certainly portrays a self-sustaining lifestyle that has potential to refreshingly appeal to today's children.
